Complete training

For each module, candidates may use a combination of diagnostic tests (pre- and post-), online courseware and instructor-led training prior to taking certificate tests.  Find out more about courseware.

Take the test

Take the certification exams at the end of the training at an approved test center. Each module is tested separately with each test lasting no longer than 45 minutes. The tests can be attempted in any order.

Diagnostic tests can be used to improve candidate pass rates. They may be used pre-training to assess current skill level or post-training to measure progress. Each diagnostic lasts 45 minutes and provides extensive feedback on all incorrectly answered questions, including a suggested solution for each.

The ICDL certificate will be granted to candidates who successfully pass all 7 ICDL modules. When a candidate successfully passes modules 2, 3, 7 and one other they will receive the ICDL Start certificate. Candidates must pass all 7 ICDL Modules to receive full ICDL certification.  Find out more about testing.
